Stitch Formation :

Uses :

  • Stitches are secured and security can be increased by back taking.
  • Abrasion resistance is better

Disadvantages :

  • Lower capacity bobbin thread requires frequent bobbin thread changing.
  • Not suitable in knitted garments.

Stitch class:304 :

  1. It is single throw , zigzag version.
  2. Stitch is formed with a needle and a bobbin that is it in the center of the seam and forms a symmetrical pattern.

  • Stretchy stitch for the edges of stretch bras.

Stitch Class-306 :

  3. 3. Running out of thread is very poor, where a join is visually unacceptable.
  4. 4. Major problems occure on bobbin running, which involved loss of stitching.
  5. 5. Unsuitability for edge neatening.

Stitch class-315 :

  • This are the formation of three step zigzag stitch.
  • It is used in decorative purposes.
  • Need two set of threads
Formation :

Stitch class:300 is the formation of lock stitch. Its extensibility is less than chain stitch. It is not suitable for knit fabric sewing. But it is extensively used in woven fabric construction such as pocket, collar, cuff, facing. It is also used in stitching, button holing, button attaching, blind stitching etc. so we can say that stitch class:300 is much more important for make a garments.
